ABAM is a volunteer run community group with it’s eyes on the future. In the preceeding years they have had a town water run to the airfield. Future projects are in include having powewr connected, a new hanger, established camping grounds and….SEE MASTER PLAN
Funds for these large projects and smaller the day to maintenance that is required i.e. slashing the airstrip, mowing around the terminal, general building maintenance is paid for by fund raising and holding events at the grounds. The larger projects need to be funded by grants, which are actively applied for by the committee. A current application in is the works for the renovation of a food van, donated by bthe Tooraweenah Lions, to allow for catering at events and hire by other community groups to assist with their fund raising.
